Sarah got her feet wet and she was happy with that. She found sticks to throw to Tara and a great big walking stick which Tara stole from her.
My mother came with us as she does on most of our outings. She has more spunk and energy than I do. I love having her with me so often and the kids adore her as well. She is the best grandma on the planet. I am so blessed to have her so close.
On the walk to the river, Haley slipped and fell in the mud and was not happy. As soon as we go to the river, she squatted down in the water to wash her rear end off. hehe
Adam was the most daring. He went out as far as I allowed him to. Which was past his knees. The water was flowing a bit too fast for my comfort to allow him any further. I was prepared to dive in after anyone if need be but figured why take the chance.
Christopher was happy dragging Tara into the water and she learned to like the water as well. I believe that irrational fears are something to get over. She was afraid of stairs. I dragged her up and down until she wasn't afraid anymore. She was afraid of the car. A 10 hour ride to Utah cured her of that. She was afraid of water. Throwing her in the river a few times cured her of that as well.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I should take my kids over there sometime.
What a fun way to spend a hot afternoon!
I love your "tough love" with the dog. I am totally down with you on that one!
