I'm sitting here with my laptop on my (of course) lap, listening to the sound of the air compressor. John decided to blow the sprinkler system lines out tonight so they don't freeze. I'm so thankful that he is handy that way. I'm a very independent person, I can do most things myself, but it is really nice to have him doing those kinds of things.
I'm also listening to the sound of my obnoxious boys laughing. I say obnoxious, because the laughter is such that nothing I say or do is going to stop them from what they are doing. If you have 2 or more boys, you know what I'm talking about. They laugh at everything, throw things, destroy things, and sometimes, really gross things, like peeing on the wall, or pulling their pants down and laughing at each other...
Then there is my daughter in the shower, singing her heart out. She's quite good. She sings various songs from High School Musical and other popular songs she hears on the radio. She loves music.
I'm also listening to the answering machine. Mindy is calling and asking if I can work tomorrow at the Lochbuie Elementary school. I'm excited. I want to work at my kids' school.
I can't remember the last time I listened to the silence. I'll have to try that...
