Had to laugh
Last night when I was tucking in Sarah, I asked her about her day. I wanted to know what she learned about in church. She usually tells me all kinds of things about church. What she learned. What her friends said or did. Who was there, who wasn't. Who is cute and who is gross. Anyway, I asked her what she learned in Primary and she was thoughtful for a moment and then said. "I don't know." So, I asked her some probing questions. "Were you talking about Joseph Smith today and the Angel Moroni visiting him?" (I knew that's what the lesson was on). She said "I don't think so." I said, "were you chatty today and didn't pay attention?" She said, "no, I didn't talk at all today". So I proceeded to ask her what songs they sang in Primary, she said she didn't know. "What did you hear about in Sacrament meeting?" I asked. "I don't know" she said. So, after a few more minutes of picking her brain trying to find out even one thing about her time at church, and her saying I don't know to everything I asked, I started to laugh because it dawned on me that I have done that on many occasions. I come home and my husband will talk to me about church and I have no idea what happened in that three hours. I couldn't tell you who was there and who wasn't. What were the topics. Any of them. It's almost like I'm not there at all on those days. So Sarah and I laughed and laughed. Have you ever had days like that?

John does that all of the time. I couldn't tell you what happened in Sacrament Meeting most of the time, but since I am teaching primary, I can usually say what happened in class. Don't ask me a week later what I tought though. Apparently, I can't remeber that far.
Sacrament meeting is always that way for me unless something unusual happens. Like yesterday, I remember nothing from the first talk (sorry to whoever that was) and the second talk was about senior missionaries, but really, it didn't apply to me so I tuned out (sorry again to that speaker)!
I wanted to tell you I love the music you have on your blog!
I definitely have those days (and probably Sundays more than other days) when I go through the whole day on auto-pilot! Last Sunday was even a pretty good one (in that the kids were much better behaved in Sacrament Meeting than usual) so you'd think I could have paid attention to the talks... but apparently I didn't because I can't remember them at all!
We all have days like that--and not just at church. Lately I don't remember what I had for lunch the day before. Hope it gets better after Bree is born!
