Together again

When we moved to this house nearly 2 years ago, the boys were thrilled because we now have four bedrooms and that meant that they each got their own room. Adam picked out a Transformer theme and Christopher wanted Space. It was nice not to have to listen to them fight over which theme we went with. Bedtime was much easier but the fighting continued, only differently. Now it was screaming at each other to get out of 'their' room.

Recently John and I decided that we needed a home office for him so that he didn't have to drive out to Arvada as much. With the kids back in school he felt it would be nice to work from home a little more.

So we moved the boys back in together. At first they were really upset, but then the more they talked about it and planned the more excited they became. Because Transformers are from another planet, the curtains show Transformers with a space back ground, so Christopher's glow in the dark stars all over the walls go very well and we were able to keep both themes. They like to use their mattresses and box springs as walls for forts, standing them up and laying blankets over the top of them. Now with sharing a room, they have four walls for their fort. This is the second night they have shared together and so far no fighting. I'm crossing my fingers. I think they missed each other.

Now Sarah feels left out and wishes she had someone to share a room with. I wish she did too.

I'm glad it is going so well so far. Did you move them into the room that you had already painted then?

Did Adam wake up thinking that Christoher looked weird again?

Also, I think being a tween is hard. Still young enough to want to be do all th kids stuff, and old enough to want privacy etc.

Glad it's going smoothly and hope they keep having fun!

On an unrelated note... my kids keep playing "Sarah." For every game they play, someone has to be Sarah. And Haley and Preston fight over who gets to be Sarah. :)
